Fanimecon ‘06 Weekend
It’s that time of the year again. We’re off to a weekend of anime showings and oogling cosplayers. I’ve looked at the anime line-up to be shown and realized I got most of them on bittorrents. And this kinda dampened my enthusiasm for the con. I mean what’s the sense of watching when I could do that for free in the comforts of my home, right? Ah, bittorrent has spoiled the con fun for me.
Anyway, there’s the Asian film showings and the dealers’ room to go to. This is what I like about Fanimecon because it is the only animecon that features Asian films. Some of these films are really worth watching. Sadly, we don’t get to see them on regular theaters here unless it’s Hollywood-backed. The hubby wanted to watch animes though, so I think we’re tossing coins to see who wins. Hehe.
As usual, I’d love to get my hands on a few merchandise, so it would be cool to check out the dealers’ room and see what’s new. I’ll blog any interesting stuffs, if I see one. Itekimasu!
